Submission

Submitting yourselves to God is easier said than done but this is what we must do to be receive all God has for us.

We ask God for things we desire but we are battling not only with ourselves but with others and we put them on a hIMG_1339igher post and think God will grant our desires – NO. You must SUBMIT yourselves totally.

“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

James 4:6 NIV

When we ask God and we don’t receive it’s because we have the wrong motives and God knows that so we need to ask in a deeper passionate of submission. One way is resisting the devil, getting closer to God, washing your hands of the past, and purifying your heart. It must be a full submission of your heart, body, and soul.

Planning for Tomorrow, WHY? Saying what you are going to do, where you are going, how much money you are going to make. Boasting about tomorrow and you don’t even know what will happen in the next minute. I have learned on a personal note don’t PLAN. God laughs at your plans, “For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

Instead just say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:15, NIV) –enjoy and live your life for we don’t know the seconds, minutes, or hour our breath shall be taken. So submit.

Embrace the rainbow of culture

Most Americans know little about other cultures and religions that are not their own and our content with that which is sad.

Screen Shot 2016-06-02 at 8.35.55 PMMany believe that one color is the true idenity of America and regard themselves as superior to other colors while seeing others as outsiders.  This is how close minded some people are and feel no need to open their mind or thoughts to embrace others cultures and ethnic backgrounds. If all the colors in the Crayon box were the same it would be boring. The rainbow is full of different colors and that is what enables us to see through past the rain. I personally love to learn about different cultures and experience life outside the box.

I believe being exposed to other cultures and religions makes us more well-rounded and able to see outside the box in which we were raised.

Screen Shot 2016-06-03 at 7.44.09 PMLiving outside our box is what keeps us alive and by having a conversation with people of other cultures and attending community events of different cultures will enable us to open our minds and seeing the world – which a Crayon box of every imaginable color.

Challenge yourself and live outside your comfort zone embrace the rainbow of colors.
